Darkest Hour: A Hearts of Iron Game, or DH, is a grand strategy wargame that is based on Paradox Interactive's Europa engine. It is described as a 1914-1964 Grand Strategy Game and it allows the player to take control of and manage nearly any nation-state during the 1914-1964 timeframe including its political, diplomatic, espionage, economic, military, and technological aspects.
Although the official game page had stated the game would be released on 25 March, 2011 [2](as of 31 March, 2011), a 24 February, 2011 press release announced the game would be "released for digital download through all major download providers" on 29 March, 2011. [3] As of 31 March, 2011, Darkest Hour is listed for 5 April, 2011 release on GamersGate and is shown as "Coming Soon" in the Where to Buy section on the game page. [4]
